The Jackson Street Corridor Got Denser This Spring
The straightest line out of Bermuda Dunes CC is south on Adams to the 42nd Avenue interchange and east along the I-10 frontage. That stretch picked up a new anchor in May. A new Chick-fil-A restaurant began serving guests in Indio on Thursday, May 21, 2026 at 6:30 a.m., located at 41902 Jackson St., operating Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. with dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out, delivery, catering and Mobile Thru. The location brought roughly 80 jobs and joins two other Chick-fil-A restaurants serving the Coachella Valley market.
The interesting fact is not the chain. It is the address. Jackson at I-10 has quietly become the closest full-service drive-thru breakfast for the north half of the club, cutting a run that used to end in Old Town La Quinta down to under ten minutes each way. That kind of small friction removal is what shifts a weekly routine.
The Pre-Season Concert Calendar Is the Cheapest It Gets
Acrisure Arena sits about twenty minutes west on Varner. Its August through late September slate is the last window before season pricing and season crowds return. The room is programming steadily through the shoulder weeks:

A parallel list of hot-new spots names Casa De Silvia, Gabinos South, Vinophile Cafe, Little Kiki Katsu, San Fernando Coffee Company, Pita House, Celestino Coastal Kitchen, Lily's, and K-Top Korean.
A working shortlist for a resident who wants to test one a week through Labor Day:
- Indio Taphouse for a low-key TV night. The room runs warm on weekends and the food is priced above the format, which locals report is fair for what arrives on the plate.
- Celestino Coastal Kitchen for a coastal Mexican menu that pulls seasonal ingredients rather than defaulting to combo plates.
- Gabinos South for a fast in-and-out lunch. The chopped, a cheeseburger stuffed inside a crepe, is the reason to go.
- Vinophile Cafe for a wine-forward weekday sit-down that closes early enough for a proper night's sleep.
- Pita House and K-Top Korean for the two cuisines Indio has been thin on for years.
Skip the ones you already know. The point of the summer is testing the ones you have not.
Kitchen Ten Eleven Is the Shortest Useful Drive West
Slightly outside the fifteen-minute ring, but worth the exception. Following the rebirth of Trilogy Golf Club at La Quinta, the former host of the Skins Game unveiled a new signature restaurant, Kitchen Ten Eleven, a California-inspired room accented by midcentury modern design, with both the golf course and restaurant open to the public. The name is not marketing. A total of 1,011 homes within the Trilogy community voted in favor of the renovation that paved the way to restore the golf club.

The menu leans on small-batch pizzas, the Millionaire Burger, and fish and chips, with seasonal selections that change often. The room has received Golf Inc.'s Golden Fork Award for Best Remodeled Public/Resort Facility. Hours run Wednesday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., closed Monday and Tuesday. The address is 60-151 Trilogy Parkway.
For a Bermuda Dunes resident, the read is simple. This is the closest room that treats a golf-community restaurant as a public destination rather than a members-only afterthought, and it sits about twenty minutes west on Avenue 60. Sunday lunch is the least crowded slot.
What's Still Open On Property
August at the club runs on a smaller staff and a shorter list of hours, which is a feature, not a defect. Bermuda Dunes Country Club runs golf tournaments, social events, casual dining, and practice facilities, with bocce ball courts and fitness rooms available and views of the San Jacinto Mountains, fairways, and lakes as the backdrop. Early mornings on the practice range and evening bocce are the two windows where the property is at its best in the heat, and both run without the wait times that season brings.
There is also the matter of history that owners underuse. The club was established in 1958 and designed by William F. Bell, and its arc from Arnold Palmer's historic victories through decades of Coachella Valley entertaining is the reason the property still carries the prestige it does. The mid-century bones show up in ways that residents pass every day without registering. August is a good month to walk the club with a slower eye.
A Weekend Template That Uses the Radius
For a Saturday through Sunday between now and Labor Day, the template that works:
- Early Saturday coffee and range work on property, off by nine before the heat sets in.
- Late-morning errand loop south on Adams to Jackson, pairing whatever the household needs with a first stop at one of the untested Indio restaurants for lunch.
- Saturday evening dinner reservation at Kitchen Ten Eleven or a concert at Acrisure. The Ramón Ayala date on August 29 and the Chicago & Styx date on September 2 both fall on nights when the drive home stays quiet.
- Sunday morning bocce or a swim on property. Long lunch at the club, or a return trip to whichever Indio spot earned a second visit.
The reason to plan the summer this way is the calendar. October reprices every one of these amenities upward. Not by shock numbers, but enough that a Saturday dinner reservation you can walk into in August becomes a two-week lead time by Thanksgiving. Use the window while it is yours.
